I discovered the Witcher series on Netflix around Xmas and started a series of pieces based on these stories in acrylics using different acrylic pastes to sculpt the canvas for texture and then apply the paint. This is an emotional piece for me as the Russian invasion of Ukraine began around the time I was working on this piece. The Witcher stories are threaded through with Slavic images and fairytales as the author is Polish.
